Young Eagles
The Young Eagles was a great success. Thanks to all our pilots and volunteers, we flew 251 children. At one time the wait was an hour and a half long, but they kids eagerly waited their turn. Bobby and I can't thank the volunteers enough for making this year not only our biggest, but our most exciting. I especially want to thank our pilots; most of which did not take a break or only took a moment to grab a water and head back to the skies.
We had several new pilots flying with our Young Eagles this year; Matt Dezee, Jim Wilson, Paul McCauley, Mark Hough and Nick Anderson. Of course, we had our dedicated Young Eagles pilots; Bill Stoeppel, Jim Thomas and Mike Warner. Together they did an amazing job and I can't thank them enough.
Behind the scenes we had several volunteers and they worked hard; from getting the registration forms signed to getting the kids loaded on the planes. If it weren't for these volunteers, we would not be able to fly as many kids as we do each year.
